A business case is a short description of why we would do something at a high level. Try to include the business need and the visitor need. This is often phrased as a problem we are trying to solve.

Example 1:

In order to improve feature adoption we want to make it easier for visitors to find feature lists. Increasing feature adoption decreases churn rate.

Example 2:

Visitors don’t realize they can use our product in production. In order to surface this use case, we want to add CTAs for it to several key locations.

Example 3:

We need more product differentiators over competitors. Feature Y would be an important differentiator, therefore we want to build Y.

Example 4:

A significant quantity of large enterprise leads have stated they will not sign up without feature X. Not having this feature is costing us more than building it would.
